I’m going to be the big three-oh on March 3rd, so I thought I’d do a birthday themed newsletter this week. The feature article for the week covers the origins of birthday celebrations. And something I learned in writing the article… the Greeks and Romans believed we were born with a guardian spirit which connected us to whatever deity held the day as sacred. That’s something I’ve always thought, but hadn’t read anywhere before. Could this point to a past life in Rome or Greece? hmmmm
Anyway, I gathered together some funny jokes and some interesting links for this week’s Birthday newsletter. For the otherkin and fair lovers among us, check out fairylove.com. Anyone want to buy me some wings for my b-day? Also check out their beautiful calendar for 2004. If I didn’t already have a calendar for the year, I know what I’d be getting. If you’ve not yet had your fill of birthday information, or you’re planning a party for someone, check out Birthday Celebrations.net. If you’ve always felt you should have a twin, check out the Astro-twin base to see if anyone else was born on the same date as yourself. And finally, if you’re wondering about man’s strides toward a longer life, you might be interested in some of the articles found on the Immortality Institute website.

You’re a pantser, someone who “writes by the seat of her pants.” You’re the type of a writer who has a brilliant story idea, and runs with it. You’re very creative, with the source of your creativity in spontaneity. Outlines bring you down, and you could never write a story if you knew ahead of time how it was going to end. You’re a free spirit who writes as whimsy inspires you without worrying overly much what others will think.

Kat You shouldn’t talk. Bet you’re a pantser too.
Thanks for the b-day wishes and the welcome into the cult of 30 Goddessfourwinds. Thanks for the compliment on my newsletter as well. No, I won’t be taking off. There’ll be one for next Wednesday. I usually have it done by Tuesday night, so there’s no worry for my b-day.
Happy 30th in advance :spinning:!
