  • Wow, a dream after so many days without… and it wasn’t even a particularly strange dream. My mother, her boyfriend, and myself were driving around in the country when our car broke down outside this farm. So we walked in to ask if it was alright if we hung out for a while as we waited for someone to come to tow and fix the car.

We entered and walked down a wide hall to an office with huge windows where the owner sat. My mom went in to talk to him, and as I turned there were three wide steps the length of the room.

The building was much bigger on the inside than out… you know, standard dream physics. heh Light poured in through huge windws, and the ceiling was very high and airy. But you could tell the building had seen better days. There were cracks and crevices in the walls and ceiling. And there were some huge spiders, as big as my spread hand from thumb tip to pinky tip. There was one high up on the wall the color of wet clay, and another near my feet a kind of steel-gray color. Spiders don’t usually bother me, but these were frikkin humungous spiders, so I was a little wary of them in the dream.

The room was pretty much empty, but beyond it was a large doorway and then a room full of old books in piles. I started to go down, and my mother came out and said it was alright to wait there. Then she saw me going down the stairs and tried to call me back, but I told her it was obvious that it wasn’t a farm, but a used bookstore instead. She was like, oh, yeah, ah duh. lol

So we went down to look through the books. (You know at this point I don’t know what happened to her boyfriend. Maybe the spiders ate him. heh) As we reached the books, another wide door came into view with racks of clothes. Since I didn’t find anything interesting among the books, I went through to the clothes. (At this point I lost track of my mom.)

Past the clothes, it was a complete maze with paths going every which way though one room so big I couldn’t see the extent of it. I found an interesting outfit, a pair of pants -one side turquoise and the other black- with suspenderesque straps, which I decided to buy.

I kept walking and the whole place turned into the Bizarre world I dream about sometimes. I arrived at one spot with these little old ladies selling Jimmy cakes (kind of an apple pudding cake), but was shocked to realize these were MY jimmy cakes. lol I’ve only made a jimmy cake once, but in my dream I had made all 2 dozen or so of the cakes they were offering. I was kind of annoyed that they were trying to sell me my own cakes, so I kept walking. I went up a little hill and found another woman selling pies. I got a slice of apple pie instead.

At that point I woke up.

  • Hmm…yes…a particularly normal dream for you. If that were my head I’d probably have ninja fish flying all over the place or something.

  • Strange I had a similar themed dream regarding a dusty bookstore. Perhaps we are losing sight of our dreams (apple pie) and are feeling old, spidery, and dusty?
