• They say Indigos have been born throughout history, but there’s been a major boom in births starting in the seventies and gaining momentum through the eighties and nineties.

  
  

  I thought I’d post (and repost from yesterday) some of the main indicators since Kissthewitch and HGDKS asked. Of course, there are a lot of other spiritual-types being talked about now… like crystals and dolphins, etc. Some say the older Indigos are transitioning into crystals, that Indigos are the warriors paving the way for the peaceful crystals by tearing up the system. I’ve no theory on that.

  
  

  Some signs of Indigo Children are:

  
  

  *They have a strong self esteem, connection to source, and an obvious sense of self. The know they belong here until they are told otherwise.

  
  

  * They have difficulty with discipline and authority, refusing to follow orders or directions without understanding why they should.

  
  

  * They are frustrated by ritual-oriented systems that require little creativity. They get bored rather easily with assigned tasks.

  
  

  * Often they see better ways of doing thing at home and at school, but don’t understand why others don’t or can’t.

  
  

  * They are nonconformists.

  
  

  * The do not respond to guilt trips unless they actually have a reason to feel guilty.

  
  

  * They lack patience and are easily distracted. This is because they are born multi-taskers. Most are diagnosed with ADD or ADHD.

  
  

  * Indigo children display strong intuition. Their spiritual intelligence and/or psychic skills are strong. They may either show strong empathy for others or no empathy. This is either due to lack of shielding, which allows full psychic contact with the world, or very strong shielding, which allows no psychic contact with the world.

  
  

  * They are gifted or talented and highly intelligent. Both sexes develop abstract thinking while very young. They are talented daydreamers and visionaries.

  
  

  * They often express anger physically and may have trouble with rage.

  
  

  * They are here to change the world, to help us live in greater harmony and peace with one another and to raise the vibration of the planet.

  
  

  Some adult signs of indigo are:

  
  

  * They have an unconventional intelligence. Though they may not have had top grades in school, they are very creative and enjoy making things. They most likely felt great disgust and loathing for much of the required or repetitious schoolwork.

  
  

  * They always need to know why, especially when they are asked to do something. They may have been rebellious in school, refusing to do homework and rejecting the authority of teachers. On the other hand, they may seriously have wanted to rebel, but didn’t dare, usually due to parental pressure or enlightened self-restraint.

  
  

  * Many may have experienced early existential depression and feelings of helplessness. These emotions would have ranged from sadness to utter despair. Suicidal feelings while still in high school or younger are not uncommon in the Indigo Adult. The increase in suicide among children may point to new indigos unable to cope with the world.

  
  

  * Don’t whine at Indigos about opportunities or money. Frustration with or rejection of the traditional American dream -the nine to five career, marriage, 2.5 children, house with white picket fence, etc -is the norm. Adult indigos have difficulty in service-oriented jobs (don’t I know it!). This is due in part because they resist authority and the caste system of employment. It is also due to the low need for creative ability or knowledge needed in these positions. Living life is more important to them than work.

  
  

  * Indigos prefer cooperative efforts in ideal situations, and leadership positions or working alone in less than ideal situations.

  
  

  * They have deep empathy for others, yet a deep intolerance for what they see as willful ignorance. Indigos may be extremely emotionally sensitive, including crying at the drop of a hat (no shielding), or they may be the opposite and show no expression of emotion (full shielding). They may also have trouble with controlling their anger.

  
  

  * Indigo will have trouble with “the system,” which they consider broken or ineffective (ie. political, educational, medical, legal, etc). In fact, they are alienated from or angry with politics, feeling their voice doesn’t count and their actions won’t affect the outcome. It seems to Indigos that their rights are constantly being infringed upon. They also feel fear and/or fury at “Big Brother.”

  
  

  * While indigos feel a burning desire to do something to change and improve the world, they may be stymied as to what to do.

  
  

  * Indigos will have had psychic or spiritual interest and experiences fairly young (in or before teen years). They have strong intuition and will have had psychic experiences, such as premonitions, seeing angels or ghosts, out of body experiences, hearing voices, etc. They may have awareness of other dimensions and parallel realities.

  
  

  * Their random behavior pattern or mind style marks them in the medical world as possible sufferers of Attention Deficit Disorder). They may have trouble focusing on assigned tasks due to boredom and may jump around in conversations.

  
  

  * Indigos may be electrically sensitive. Some kill wristwatches and street lights may switch off or come on as they move under them. Electrical equipment malfunctions and lights blow out when they are stressed.

  
  

  * They may be very expressive and inventive sexually, or they may reject sexuality entirely. Others may explore alternate types of sexuality.

  
  

  * Meaning in life and understanding of the world is very important to them, and they may seek this through religion or spirituality, spiritual groups and books, self-help groups and books. Many of Adult Indigos are self-taught, skillful researchers and library-divers. Lots of reading for Indigos. But many Indigos may eschew or quit college and either go straight into the workforce or go to vocational school.

  
  

  *The thirties are a decade of rediscovery and recovery of the extremely high-end psychic abilities, like instant access to the Akashic realms, real time remote viewing, instant assessment of people’s thoughts and intent, deliberate synchronicity (sheer “dumb” luck) simultaneous time-hopping (paralleling) and other intriguing “gifts.” The healing gifts uncover themselves in the third decade also. The fun really begins in the forties, and the “late-bloomer” aspects of the mature Indigo begin to emerge.

  
  

  *Many Indigos (not all) will not marry or have children. Some older Indigos have often wished that they could have come in as a neuter/neutral gender so they could do their work free from distraction.
