Workaday blues
Well, tomorrow's the last day of class, and I'm the last student, unless someone decides to show back up. I would love not to go tomorrow night, so hopefully it will end early. I have to be up for work by 5 on Tuesday, which doesn't give me a lot of time for sleep tomorrow night. Add to that the fact that when I get out of work at 3, I have to go stand in line to vote (and who knows how long that will take)... I am not looking forward to the next two days. You will probably not hear from me again until Wednesday at the earliest, so enjoy the latest entry in my webnovel and hopefully the best man for the job will be elected Tuesday. Otherwise, I may have to decide which country I'd rather live in before I'm thrown out for being a godless heathen by the itty bitty republican moral committee.Pagans! We need to get out there and vote so the Religious Right can stop blaming us for every ill that befalls America.
Of course, I have extreme doubts about my vote being worth much considering my bigoted neighbors. That's what I hate about the electoral college. My vote isn't counted, not really. Whatever the majority vote for my district is, that's what's counted. I don't think that's fair... that I'm a fair and open minded person living in a thoroughly republican and racist area.
Ah well. Hopefully things will change for the better after the election.

One of the ways I can accept being a "Loser" in politics most of the time as I am Independent, is that in this wacky world it takes one such as you or me in a mass of others to create a balanced flow. You can secretly feel great about that. Breathe deep, you're almost done!
There's always hope. Luckily I have Tuesday off, so I can take as long as I want to vote.
lol @ the itty bitty republican moral committee.
Yea, I'm looking at Canada or Ireland myself.
not all republicans are racist...
i thought i had 2 more days to decide.
Be careful with those voting machines and keep an eye out for your choice jumping Republican. That little tidbit was exposed years ago and the problem is still going strong. Be sure that your vote sticks.
The electoral vote would have Obama in office. My hubben watches this site all of the time. Pretty huge lead, I would think. 353 Democrat and 185 Repubelickers.
Wow, what happened to the mean lady in your class?
I think the electoral college wore out its usefulness a long, long time ago...when the world was smaller and more manageable, perhaps.
It seems as though when some things become politically incorrect to voice one's bigotry over, the bigots will find something else to dehumanize. It is in their nature, they love to judge and hate. It's like a pastime for some.
Tomorrow is such a day of mystery. After I vote, I will be going off to work in the evening, which, for the one and only time, I am actually glad to have to work, otherwise, I would be sitting in front of the television like a frozen rock.
Peace and Blessings~
See you Wednesday!
