Did some searching online. I found some sites that are geared almost exclusively towards research and academic jobs...

Orb pictures from Egypt!
A friend of the family took these pictures while visiting Egypt. She did not get orbs anywhere else but in this temple. Look! Some of the orbs even look pyramidal. What do you think?

The Nicolaites, Gnostic followers of St. Nicholas, taught that the way to salvation was through frequent sexual intercourse. Nicholas was a fourth century Bishop in Turkey who reportedly saved three young girls from being sold into slavery by their destitute father. Three bags of gold allowed them to marry honorably. He was also said to have resurrected three dead school boys and so is considered the patron of youth. In Northern Europe, St. Nicholas absorbed the pagan qualities of Odin, riding through the sky with reindeer and forty-two supernatural huntsmen. Later he was merged with Father Christmas of Yuletide, creating the modern Santa Claus who was also influenced by elements of Thor.
Birthday of Dion Fortune in 1890.
On the 21st day of Tybi, offerings were made by the Shemsu (followers) of Ra. Bast guards the Two Lands.

Wow, those orbs are really interesting. Would be really awesome if they were almost something like visible energy, because I'm sure the energy there is overwhelming!
Good luck with the job hunt!
Awww, no jobs in CO.
The orbs look like light refraction to me. But omg, freaking Egypt! I'm so jealous. I've always wanted to go there.
It is kinda hard to tell whether they are orbs or dust particles since the ground appears to be dirt. (Holy crap! I'm typing words backwards! Is that a sign of something?) I have always wanted to go to Egypt and follow my grandfather's path to kind of connect with him.
Woohoo for the Nicolaites!!! I'm showing my hubben that one!
Aw, Egypt- how gorgeous! I want to go there someday-
And, I think it might not be so bad to be a St. Nick follower; as long as I just get some salvation through my hubby-
It is difficult to be absolutely certain with regard to dust particles, especially in a desert area and with what appears to be several other people whose movement might stir the sands, but what is intriguing is that these orbs, as you say, did not appear on other photographs your family friend took.
You know who would be interested in these photographs, is George Noory. He has a website and often posts intriguing photographs of a paranormal nature from those who submit them.
They are quite fabulous, nonetheless. Fascinating, how the orbs add such an element of mystery. It is such a wonder what cameras pick up in a split second that the naked eye cannot see utterly at all!! A girl won 2nd place in the Illinois science fair many years ago with spirit photography. It is such a mystery.
Blessings~
I’d guess it as dust particles. Orbs apparently glow brighter in the centre. I’ve been to Egypt and its very dusty there with sand and pollution. We have a similar picture with orb like things taken in a theatre in Austria. They look the same; we showed our photos to a friend who was into Ghost investigation. He thought they were dust and the flash bouncing off it. Here’s a good web site http://www.ghoststudy.com/fresh.html
